High School Program - Fall 2026/Spring 2027 Registration

The LCRA High School rowing program is open to all students who are currently enrolled in grades 9-12. The goal of the LCRA youth program is to foster the love of rowing while providing opportunities to compete at all levels in a safe and respectful manner.

HighSchool Program

 

Age: High School 9th-12th Grade (Also Approved, Experienced 8th Graders.)

Cost: Fall Season – $950 + Registration Fee. Spring Season – $950 (plus Registration Fee if not paid in the Fall).
**Save $100 – Both Seasons Paid In Fall: $1800

 

Registration Fee: $60

Discounts: Sibling discount $50 for 2nd and subsequent youth rower(s).

High School rowers are required to purchase an LCRA unisuit for racing.

Referral Bonus: $50 Referral Bonus is awarded to each youth member for each new member they refer, who stays for the semester. This is prorated for late starters. Referral Bonus is payable immediately when the semester is paid in full. (One bonus per new member.)

 

Program includes:

  • Coaching
  • Regatta Fees
  • Regatta Food
  • Team Tents, Supplies, etc.
  • Boat Transport to/from Regattas
  • *Special regattas outside of the LCRA Regular Regatta Schedule are available to rowers from time-to-time. All costs for these events will be at the rowers expense.

Practice Schedule:

  • Fall 2026 Season:  
    August 13 – December 18th, 2026.
    **New Athletes to LCRA and Incoming 9th Graders Start Monday, August 10th.
    Last Day for All Athletes: December 18th.

  • Spring 2027 Season:  January 6th, – April 26th, 2027.  End date may vary depending on regattas, regionals, etc.Select athletes competing at Southeast Regionals and Youth Nationals may have training into June.

  • Practice Times: 
    Monday – Friday: 3:15 pm-6:00 pm a the LCRA Boathouse
    Saturday and/or Sunday, 1pm-2:30pm at Iron House Gym – Athletes will select one or both weekend days for strength and conditioning depending on personal scheduling. Instructions will be sent after registration is complete.

  • Holiday practices (if any) are typically optional but encouraged.15
